Support group topics are largely based on what the group wants to talk about that day. There will usually be a prompt to get the group to start talking but ultimately, the group serves as a conversation and means of connection for members of the autistic community and can talk about whatever feels good in that moment. Some example topics are connection on the spectrum, romantic relationships, friendships, coping with meltdowns and shutdowns, unmasking etc. We can even talk about our special interests with one another if that is what the group wants to do. 

No, this is not therapy. This is a support group and therapy will not be conducted in these groups. 

Support groups meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 40 minutes on each of those days. Sign ups are on the site for two-week time periods and these will be updated at the end of each week. 

Yes—you must be at least 18 years old. You need to verify your age with me after signing up. You can do this by emailing me proof in whatever form you have of your birthday. If you do not verify your age with me at least 24 hours in advance of your group, your booking will be canceled and you will be refunded. I can refund you if you cancel at least 24 hours in advance of your group. After that 24 hour window closes, I can no longer refund you if you miss your group. 

For privacy and safety reasons, you must have your camera on. It is important for all members of the group to feel safe and if someone has their camera off we cannot be sure what is happening behind the camera and this may make people uncomfortable. If you come to group and refuse to turn your camera on, you will be removed and not be able to join future groups.
